The city of Auburn has hired a polling firm to poll citizens in Auburn about their opinion of raising the sales tax in the city to fund police, public works and fire department costs for the future. The firm of Flint, Spriggs and Babb have been hired at a fee not to exceed 47 thousand dollars which the city said is the going rate for this type of consulting. Findings by the consultant are to be presented at the city council meeting of May 18th.
