Another part of Gov. Newsoma s State of the state speech came to surface yesterday as Silicone Valley tech companies digested the gov.a s point of asking aides to develop a data dividend for Califoania residents whose personal data is collected and sold by high tech companies based in California. The gov. said, a Californiaa s consumers should also be able to share in the wealth that is created from their personal dataa . Google, Facebook and Amazon all have created massive wealth from data mining and selling it to users that then target advertising to consumers. Also placing a tax on this data sale was also mentioned as analysis of the state of the state speech continues. Tech companies did not comment.
