Protests and statements from community and political leaders continued all weekend after the Sacramento District Attorney Anne Marie Schubert announced Saturday that she would not file charges against the two police officers that killed Stephon Clark last year in South Sacramento. The Sacramento Kings and security agencies say they are preparing to provide safety for all fans that are expected to attend the Kings-New York Knick game tonight at Golden One Center. The Kings organization held a meeting last Wednesday forging an alliance with activist groups in the black community who have successfully shut down the center twice since last March in protests over the Clark shooting. In the day long meeting, Golden one pledged 50 thousand dollarsa worth of scholarships for inner-city youth. Both the Kings and Sacramento Police say that are prepared to make certain fans will safely enjoy the game tonight. Wheather the alliance will hold will be tested in Sacramento tonight.
