Placer County Detectives have arrested a man for violent assault on a Colfax resident. A Deputy patrolling on highway 174 and main street in Colfax on the 18th discovered a man lying on the ground under the railroad overpass. The man was severely beaten about the face and also had several stab wounds, and was rushed to the hospital.A Sheriffa s investigation led them to 30 year old James Lee in a home on Ponderosa Way in Weimar. Police issued several public announcements outside the home for about an hour before Lee emerged and was arrested. Lee has been charged with attempted Murder and violation of parole. He is not eligible for bail.
