Placer County’s 2017-2018 Grand Jury report is being released today.

19 Placer County residents volunteered and were sworn in last July to serve as the 2017-2018 Grand Jury.

This report details annual inspections of the Placer County Detention Facility, Jails and Holding Facilities, Court House, Burton Creek Sheriffas Substation, South Placer Adult Correctional Facility, and Gibson Courthouse at the Santucci Justice Center.

Investigations cover California Public Records Act Compliance, County Capitol Improvements, Emergency Preparedness of Placer County Schools, Sheriffas BurtonA Sub Station, Placer County Wine Ordinance Code Enforcement, and the Roseville Community Development Corporation.

Some of the reports are critical of local government operations but also commended some agencies for a job well done.
