By Jerry Henry on October 31, 2018.
Sacramento county supervisors will discuss Sheriff Scott Jones stance of locking out Rick Braziel, former sheriff and current Inspector General out of examining the operations of the Sheriffa s department. This standoff has been going on since last year when Braziel issued a report on fatal shooting involving sheriff deputies. The supervisors will discuss on how to proceed with inputs that advise them they have Grand Jury systems, and also could use subpoena authority when a county officer refuses or fails to comply with an order or request for information. Todaya s discussion is revising the Inspector Generala s job description that could provide more legal authority to re-activate the audit of the Sheriffa s operations. Again, this is Sacramento County.
